We have been staying at Stage Stop Inn for about 15 years or so, once, twice or more times per year. Had wonderful relationship with the previous owners. When the new owners took over we are not getting the care and customer service the Aunt and Uncle gave us. We were always given a special rate as a long time customer. We went in there on 7/8/17 and spoke with a woman to reserve a room for 7/9/17 and she told us we would receive our normal discounted rate. When we came back the next day to check in the man told us he could no longer honor the rate we were given and he wanted to charge us more. I told him we were quoted a rate the day before and if we didn't receive that rate we weren't going to stay there. He didn't want to honor the rate so we left and went somewhere else. I could have agreed to a $5.00 increase but he was going from $60 to $77. Not only did he lose us for the one night stay, he has now lost us as a long time customer. I'm sure if his Aunt and Uncle were still there they would have honored the rate we had always received to avoid losing a long time customer.
