Sweet spot to walk around. Spectacular views of the City at anytime of day or night. Can fish at the end of the pier if that floats your boat. The museum costs a lot but you can walk around the entire ship for free and still enjoy the views. It's a great little area to explore. There is an awesome view of the City from a variety of angles. Additionally, there are other boats moored nearby that are also interesting to look at; although you cannot go inside of them. There area is kind of hidden in Alameda, so there isn't a lot of traffic and you almost feel like you're not supposed to be there, but it is part of the public shoreline.
