Urban Jumble

SUMMARY: Store owner, Nick, wasted 6 hours of my time by going back on his originally stated price for records. DETAIL: Nick, said the records were $1 each and he'd give me a deal if I bought a bunch. So I said cool and started digging. After about 6 hours of digging, I had 4 crates. So I starting bringing the crates to the counter and as I'm doing this Nick starts looking the records up online and then proceeds to tell me he definitely won't be able to do $1 per b/c some of these records sell for $50. I explained to him that the only reason I invested all this time and effort was to obtain the good deal he initially offered and that by changing his price he had effectively wasted an entire day of effort for me. He proceeded to call me a thief and said I was insulting his intelligence by assuming he didn't know the value of his own merchandise. We were both quite polite and went back and forth for about 15 minutes. Nick's excuse for the price change was to say he was referring only to the LPs and that 78s are a whole different thing. This doesn't wash for two reasons. First, I had asked him specifically about 78 rpm records. Second, he never specified he was referring only to LPs.
