I have been taking violin lessons from Maria Meza-Murillo for almost a year and she is professional in every sense of the word. She pushes you, but that is only because she wants you to do well. If you practice regularly then you should be fine. If not, all you have to do is let her know, and she adjusts her pace accordingly. Remember, lessons are a two-way street. It is up to you to communicate with your teacher. She has only missed one lesson with me because she was sick and sent me a text well in advance. She even showed up for my lesson after having had dental surgery! That is dedication. She has been extremely flexible about my needing to change times because of vacations, my son's summer camps, etc. I really enjoy our lessons together. As an older person taking up a challenging instrument, I find her encouragement both honest and helpful. I have improved greatly since coming to her and that is despite my hectic schedule preventing me from practicing as much as I should. Maria is a great violin teacher. She also teaches a variety of other instruments. You will love her!
