Wonderful we made our way to the summit to the "old growth redwood grove" in 2.5 hours stopping often to bird. We logged 19 species of birds. There are many Newts on the tail so be careful not to step on one. Our trip back was another hour and fifteen minutes. The forest on top is wonderful. If you travel to the top make sure you the "Spirit tree" a huge old growth Redwood. Bring water for sure. Currently the trail system is very wet. Many wildflowers are out.
