The Vineyard at Escondido Golf Club

Great course with a super staff, especially the starter who gave us tips for several of the difficult holes. Reasonably priced and the fairways and greens were in good to very good conditions. It is not up to par with a nice resort or private club course, but it's one of the best public courses I've played in the San Diego area.

Unfortunately choosing to walk on the course on a weekend afternoon ended up becoming difficult. Play was exceptionally slow. We ended up leaving the course. In management defense they did refund are greens fees. So the company took care of us. But the pace of play was excruciating Lee slow.
