My family and I have been shopping at this store since we moved to the area 16years ago. Our experience have always been good to great up until this past Friday. I came in to get something for dinner, I got 2 different types of soups (2 clam chowder and 1 crab bisque) along with some groceries. My poor husband became violently I'll within 2hrs of eating the clam chowder I got for him, vomiting and diarrhea all night and I had nausea and chills from having the crab bisque. That night I tried to reach the store manager 2 times but didn't get one. So I called the 800 customer service line that's printed on the store receipt, to report what happened to us. Not much help from them, only given instructions to visit the store to file an incident report and bring in the containers and any leftover soup for them to examine. It's really disheartening to find that the store doesn't want to own fault. When I finally felt well enough to go to the store, which was on Sunday, I spoke to the manager Bill, who was less than compassionate nor sympathetic. And to top it off, he didn't even offer to refund me for the cost of the 3 bowls of soup that just put my husband through hell, I had to ask for it!! I'm waiting until Tuesday for John to come back, who is supposed to be the person who handles this type of problem that occurs in the store. Bill gave me John's number to follow up with him, but why should I be the one to call to give him a follow up!? I'm hoping my encounter will be better with John. We will see...
I've been to this Raley's several times so now I feel compelled to give my review. There are good and bad to the store. The location is great. Parking lot is nice and clean, the storefront and very clean, and of course inside the store is very clean with plenty of room to push your cart around and nice wide open Isles. Okay now as far as the deli is concerned. The salad bar is pretty much hit and miss. I only suggest getting salad there but be very careful it's $9 a pound and you can go overboard fairly quickly. I would strongly suggest against the sushi it's very disgusting. That goes as well for anything else in the deli cabinet such as they prepped Meats just not good. So, if you are creating a custom salad you can make yourself and there are a lot of toppings, I wouldn't go any further than the vegetables everything else there is not very good at all. It's a shame because going there on lunch and thinking you're ordering a good, let's say orange chicken, and it turns out you're dropping 20 bucks on very subpar food is very disappointing. But of course the grocery store itself is good and of course the meat department they have the best meat selections amongst any other grocery store the produce department of course their produce is better than any other grocery store. But I wish they would redo all their delis and and Chinese food they have the money they should definitely do some research hire some chefs and really redo it. I believe their profits would Skyrocket if they actually had some good deli food
