Worked at the one in Bell Gardens in the early 60's while going to college. One of the sales ladies took me to another location because I wanted to buy a ring and she said they'd give me a deal there. As we walked in I noticed a ring in the display out front which looked like it was on special (It had a special sticker attached). But when the owner took it out of the window he had removed the special tag. I was told they were giving me a "special" employee price. What I discovered later was the stone was chipped. I was afraid to say anything for fear of losing my job. I always felt they ripped me off because they knew I was young and they could take advantage.
