Berkshire Motor Hotel

The Birkshire Motor Hotel is a great little boutique Hotel. The rooms ARE "small", so all of those with "Weight Issues" are better served by going elsewhere. For any "normal sized persons" it is still a very tight room. Cozy, YES, very much. The rooms are clean and very well appointed with furnishings that appear new. For the last few times I have called to make a reservation, The rooms are already booked. I guess the "WORD" is out about this one. Never mind that Denny's is just across the street, and my personal favorite Italian place just past the freeway (Venice Pizza) and a very close proximity to the "North Park Scene and fabulous bars. If you don't have a whole gaggle of kids, and you and your significant other want a place to experience San Diego and all that it offers check in for a weekend and see what I mean. I gave it FIVE STARS because each time I have stayed for a night or 2 I had good and peaceful rest. Now the downside: There are only 12 rooms. Make your reservation well in advance. That's it. Have fun in San Diego. The most beautiful City in America.
