Out of courtesy (& professionalism), I will not "name drop".
I am a member & advertiser with the Apt Owners Ass (AOA) of SoCal for over 27yrs.
I am a handyman for over 35 years & it is a "constant", in this line of work, to be treated poorly, as far a being a "vendor", anyway.
We are basically "used" & then treated disrespectfully. Such is the case, here.
My services were utilized, on a condo in Torrance. The invoice was sent, 3 weeks passed & I then, inquired about it.
I was met with a complaint about the charges. Rather "unprofessional" to wait until I called, to complain about "anything"! I said so, in an email.
I lowered the invoice total to an amount, that was requested. Reason being, this PM is no longer (& will never be) on my "preferred" list of clients.
This PM has a habit (I have seen this many times, through the years) of complaining about the work & not allowing for said vendor to remedy it. This PM, basically has the issue fixed (if there ever was an issue) & then asks for a reduction. Pretty sneaky & NOT the way to handle it, professionally!
I should have been given the opportunity to remedy "said complaint".
This PM also "minimized" the work that was performed, by stating "overages" from the original estimate were not fair because the extra work was "performed in the same area".
Keep in mind, all work was performed (materials & labor) with no down payment.
If you are a vendor (or handyman at all), I am sure you can identify with the "UNPROFESSIONALISM" of this PM, right about now.
Vendors, make a "wide circle" around this PM.
