While I have only interacted with one sales person there - I was horribly turned off. I enjoy cars, working with sales people (weird I know), and the general process of buying a new car. I pride myself that I don't approach a sales person with disdain, or expectations of what cannot happen - and usually in return I have a fun conversation and a sales person interested in helping me out while I don't try to expect 50% off a new car. However, I interacted with a sales individual here this past weekend that absolutely horrified me. They were so desperately hungry to UP SALE me I was quoted numbers that had a 20k deficit, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and explain it - and again was quoted a price 20k above the sticker price of the vehicle. After stating, strongly, I was going to take off - they began to talk to me about the options of leasing. Again, benefit of the doubt, I've never looked into a lease or considered one - and don't know much about them. I allowed them to give the pitch, and asked "All things in life have a positive and negative... what is the downside in comparison to financing?" The sales person continued to make the point that A. There is NOTHING (I asked twice to make sure I wasn't assuming) wrong with a lease, B. It is the BEST option (so why didn't we lead with that? and C. I should do it this second. Anyways, long story short, very disappointing that I come in level headed, happy, ready to buy, and excited for the process - but I left after a salesperson tried to up-sale me and push THEIR desire THEIR sale THEIR needs. So I bought one in Santa Rosa and it was awesome :)
