I disliked the food and the service was not the best even though the restaurant had only 4 customers not counting me. The guy waiter, possibly the manager was very rude when I asked for butter or olive oil for my bread and said that there was butter melted on the top. He then begrudgingly brought me the herb butter they melt on top of the bread and explained again how they melt butter on top of the bread. I understand that there is a small smattering of butter melted on top of the bread, but many Italian will also provide olive oil and balsamic for dipping or butter. The entree was even more disappointing and it was a special. Soup was palatable. I just paid my check and left, will not be returning. If you want real Italian food drive 1.5 hours to Urrichio’s trattoria in Bakersfield. They don’t make the pasta, but the pasta is delicious the sauces flavorful and the bread comes with olive oil as a standard and butter if requested.
Place wasn't even that busy yet they sat us at a small table instead of a booth like everyone else and we had to sit right next to the ice/soda machine where every 2 minutes the workers would gather to refill drinks and gossip about other customers in the restaurant. Didn't feel very Italian inside it was kind of run down inside.. the fresno location was better.. wish it was still open. The food was just okay. The appetizer did come out quick with the bread ill give them that. We had a Groupon and saved us like 7 bucks and it still felt like we over spent for what we got spending $48. The place was unorganized. We have no reason to go back when there are places like macaroni grill and olive garden!
