Steady State Roasting is an excellent reminder that if you're looking for good coffee, don't judge by how a place looks or by their location. Sometimes a place that looks old-fashioned can have brilliant coffees, and sometimes a place that looks super hipster with the best equipment can brew up major swill. In the case of Steady State, the shop is tucked away in the back of a makers co-op, and they serve some of the best coffees I have had. Each cup is meticulously brewed with a fresh roast of an ever-changing menu of single origins that taste very different from each other. If you’re interested in comparing the unique characteristics of coffees from around the world, a pour over from Steady State Roasting is worth a drive. I am a lucky man to have a place like Steady State Roasting walking distance from the workplace.
