Smart & Final Extra!

This store's produce (vegetables and fruits) and meat qualities are poor, visually looks OK but taste bad. Needs to improve vegetables, fruits and meats. Where are they purchasing their produce and meats ??? As for frozen food and all other items are about same as any other grocers. This Santa Rosa Avenue store does not have Asian food at all. Store's 60 to 70% customers are Hispanic so they don't care to stock Asian food or manager of store (who is Hispanic) needs to study customers needs if store wants to compete with other grocers in the area. Safeway's and Raley's at Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park stores have Asian food. Six months ago I gave review regarding very slow checkout at the casher, even there are more than ten customers are waiting to checkout, only one cashier is open. This, they have improved slightly compare to six months ago. Also meat department needs alots of improvement in selling fresh quality meats and sell smaller amount of packaging. Store is copying like COSTCO with bulk selling but cannot compete with COSTCO's quality. Overall rate this store a 1-Star for selling poor quality produce, meats and slow checkout at casher. If there were not Hispanic population around and there are no grocery stores within 1-1/2 mile radius this store would not survive. Maybe store manager needs improvement.
