Tried to buy two bags of chips and two bottles of water with a $20 around 9:30pm today. This heavy-set Mexican man wearing a black-faced watch with gold rims gave me back $8. I looked at the cash, looked at the items, and looked at him. Asked for the receipt and was told that he was trying to give me the better end of the deal several times and that he was in the middle of a cash drop/change/whatever. Asked how much each item cost and he rang it up in a few seconds and gave me back $11 and some change. Pretty sure I'm not the first and won't be the last...
(Plus the higher cost of gas compared to other shell stations)
