I purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima in 2017 from these guys.
I purchased the extended warranty (which I am now regretting). It has been less than a year and the car started making a rattling sound when the car idols or accelerates.
I took the car back to see what the issue was. Turns out the heat shield on the exhaust pipe under the car was the issue. My service adviser took photos of the problem and told me that it would cost $1300 to fix it. I was told that it was not covered under the warranty, and neither was the diagnostic.
Thank God for the assistant service manager who waived the unexpected diagnostic fee of $170.
They are trying to say that it was rust that caused the part to fail. I saw the pictures. I did not see any rust. I saw a broken weld.
I sent Nissan's main offices the complaint and the pictures. They sided with the dealership, taking the word of the mechanic instead of using their own eyes. I told them I wanted a second opinion and they said it had to be another Nissan dealership, and another $170 charge. These people are worse than insurance companies.
I am shocked that a car with 50k miles on it would start sounding like a piece of junk. I am regretting that I purchased this car.
If you are doing research on this company for a future purchase, don't waste your money. Consider another brand, one that cares for its customers.
