***Update: I found out who the towers were for my car, they are Get Cash for Junk Cars. The service Junk Car Sacramento gave was great. They will find you a quote and send you to where you need to go. Although, the tower, not so much.
My experience with this business was very unsatisfying.
Summary of my story: Person who gave me a quote for my car was great but their tower that was assigned to me was slacking in communication and cost me $100-$150 in storage due to a promise they never kept.
The person whom I spoke to about getting a quote for my car was amazing. He quickly found me a really good quote for my vehicle and then transferred me over to their tower’s rep or personal tower.
The person in charge of picking up my vehicle was unsure of my price, even questioning my quote so he asked me to text him photos of the condition of my car. I had no issue with that so I did. On the phone, he told me he would pick up my vehicle the following day, Saturday, or the night of, which was Friday, the earliest. I was fine with either or. After sending him the photos, he replied that the price is okay and needed the address in order to pick it up. Gave him the address and waited all day the next day for him to come. I left him a text message at 7:37am Saturday, asking him for an estimate time of when he will be picking up my car so that I can plan my day accordingly to his. NO RESPONSE. I then called him at 3:10pm, didn’t answer so I left a voicemail about when he’ll be picking up my car that day or not and that I would appreciate a call back to talk about it further for clarification. NO RESPONSE.
I then called the towing company who was storing my vehicle to check up on my car to see if it was picked up or not. They informed me no and that most businesses don’t pick up during the weekend. This then clarified as to why they may not have answered my text message or voicemail. Mostly unsatisfied by the fact that Junk Car Sacramento’s tower told me they would pick up my car the following day, which was Saturday.
I didn’t bother Sunday because if they didn’t work weekends, there would be no point. I had only texted their tower with anything happening on my side which was the fact that I would be working on Monday and for him to go ahead and contact my dad so that my dad can meet up with him to exchange any paperwork. Things changed again and I was going to be available to meet up with him so I went and shot him a text to inform him. NO RESPONSE. Upset at this point because I am paying $50 a day for storage at the towing company my car is located. Because of no communication from them, their tower cost me $100-$150 more than I was expecting.
Looking for a solution for my dilemma, I tried contacting their customer service which went straight to voicemail. I left them a voicemail of my situation and again, NO RESPONSE. I then tried to contact their towing phone line through their 877 number to see if I can get a different tower and was put on hold while I was being transferred. My phone call was picked up and immediately hung up as if they just lifted the phone and dropped it back to end the phone call. I have been very patient with their tower and did not, in any way, speak to them in a rude manner.
This experience has left me feeling greatly disrespected and disappointed. The person whom I spoke with about a quote for my car was the ONLY good experience I had here with Junk A Car (Junk Car Sacramento’s main website). Their tower was the only one whom I had an issue with. I suggest that if you want to sell your car to them, make sure you have a reliable tower. I hope no one has to go through what I went through: No communication and costing you more if your car is currently being stored somewhere that charges.
