Islands Restaurant Newport Beach

Great cheese fries, good beers, excellent burgers. The service is usually good. They also have good hot wings and tacos as well, but I almost always go with the burgers since they are so good.

Islands is a popular bar & grill chain based in SoCal that's known for its burgers and mai tais. Today I went for lunch. The place was busy as usual and there were people waiting at the door. I was able to be seated right away as I was just a party of one. The lunch specials were typical. I chose the caesar salad. It came out in minutes. I was very pleased. Everything was chilled. The chicken was generous. The dressing wasn't overpowering or acidic as it can be in places that aren't paying attention to detail. It was a nice portion and I was thoroughly satisfied. The service was great and all the servers seemed to be having fun with the regular lunch crowd. Good job. Next up: The Big Wave and a Kona
