Island Seed & Feed

When I went to Island Feed and Seed for the first time, I was overjoyed by the staff's kindness and compassion. I live at the people of color student housing cooperative in Isla Vista, and Island Feed and Seed donated hundreds of organic seeds and gave us a generous discount when they heard we wanted to start our garden in order to grow healthy food. As university students who live in Isla Vista, we have limited access to affordable, healthy food. Island Feed and Seed is an uplifting example of a local business that empowers the community and support food sustainability initiatives. We need more community oriented businesses like this :)
