Horrible service! I was helped (screwed over) by rep named Ana E. Martell. I came into H&R block because I have zero knowledge of tax preparation and needed help and they were filing 1040EZs for free. I had an appointment at 10, didn't get rep till 10:30. She filled in all the info into the computer and about 45mins later, she attempted to charge me $233!! I asked her why she was charging me since I thought 1040EZs were free. This is when she decided to tell me that I'm filing a regular 1040 and that I owe them $233. I asked her why she didn't tell me in the very begining that since I had certain documents, I had to file a 1040 and she proceeded to inform me that I did not ask her. This came as a shock to me since I didn't know I had to ask for something I know nothing about. Not only did miss Ana Martell tell me that it was my fault I didn't ask, she still charged me $25 for a consultation fee which I paid since I was so angry, if I stayed any longer it would have turned into a terrible escalation. Oh, and her manager was not there and she did not want to tell me when she would be returning. So this also means this rep takes NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR HER ACTIONS!
