The Grant is my favorite spot in all of San Diego to dine. Every aspect of the restaurant is in the elite category, from the bread to the ambiance, to the silverware and the service. The band that plays on 8pm Saturdays is worth the price of admission alone. The manager Albert is a great guy that knows how to run a restaurant. He comes from a great family and it shows in his work. Bea is my favorite server; professional but also can hang and join in on the banter if called upon. Even the support staff is top notch. Of course just walking in the building makes you feel in the clutches of opulence, but it's San Diego so snazzy attire isn't required. Go all out when you go, don't hesitate to get the aged ribeye: it's worth it. And if you haven't been in a while, the menu changes seasonally so go again.
