Gold Mountain Winery & Lodge

My family stayed at Fitzpatrick's Winery & Lodge for 3 nights recently and enjoyed the beautiful view of the valley from their hilltop location, their Friday pizza night with a live band, and a delicious breakfast each morning. The pool is long & thin, perfect for 2 people to do laps, but we enjoyed it with our grandkids, too. My husband and I stayed in the "Winemakers Suite" with a king bed, a beautiful bathroom, a great view, free wifi, and many nice small personal touches. My son and his family stayed in the "log cabin room" which was great for his 2 small children. While B&Bs are best for adults, the children were well-accepted with a high chair, toys, and a good attitude by the delightful owners. I highly recommend Fitzpatricks as a place to stay while enjoying wine country, and their wine was good, too -- and, affordable!
