Working with the company was pleasant. however there were somethings that don't make sense to me as to how they process certain rental applications. Based on my recent experience with them and the submission of my application for a rental property I was basically being Strung along in regards to a response. When I would call to follow up I was advised that "everything was good and we were waiting on final yes from the property owner." Okay, I'll wait. when I heard back again from them, I was advised that they needed actual copies of certain legal documents. I felt iffy about it but I thought maybe the Owner just wants actual confirmation of our legal status, it felt a little like discrimination but no problem cause we have nothing to hide. I was able to provide one of the actual documents requested and the next best thing on my behalf since i misplaced the actual card they were asking for. I submitted my application on a Monday after a Saturday open house they had. The following Friday was when I was advised that they needed copies of the actual documents. On Saturday I provided the one document and Monday the pending one. I expecting an answer right away since that was all that was pending. Well, no answer. I followed up on Tuesday via text... no response. I finally called Wednesday and was told that the owner went for another applicant. Okay, understood. I requested a copy of my credit report. Upon receipt, I understood that there might have been an applicant with better credit. No biggy, I will continue my search for a rental apartment. So Here is my PROBLEM, they seemed to know the owner was not happy with my application because when I went back to my search for apartments. I saw the same property listed with an open house the Saturday after I put in my application. Why did they NOT tell me they were looking for more application cause mine wasn't the best. They could've told me this the day they posted the open house or even told me when I called to follow on Friday instead of requesting copies of my legal documents. That just gives me second thoughts as to why they wanted copies of my legal documents. My advise for anyone applying for a rental property is if you don't get a response by the 3rd day. Move on to the next DO NOT LET THEM STRING YOU ALONG with their request for additional documents. I still do not understand the why?
