Etiwanda Falls is a local hiking trail and easy to commute to.
The parking is is a good capacity, but it does fill up quite a bit during the weekend from 9am - 12pm.
The trail itself is steep in some parts, and there are a lot of small pebbles and big rocks. I recommend comfortable shoes that have grip on them.
It's safe for children and dogs.
The hike up to the waterfall is worthwhile. You reach the water and there's shade and the view is pretty nice and relaxing.
