I came to this church multiple times with a friend who's a regular attendee. It was an interesting and enlightening experience as I have never visited a church prior to coming here.
I was anxious, I had no idea of what to expect nor how the other congregants would react to me entering. To my surprise, everyone who I met greeted me with a smile and they welcomed me into their gathering. The service itself was fascinating, Spanish music praising God followed by a speech. Afterwards, traditional foods and drinks were served.
From coming here I learned that even though different people may call 'Him' (one Deity) by varying names, God, Dios, Jehova, Allah, Yahweh, etc, and different people worship 'Him' in different ways. We all share many of the same beliefs like helping the poor and treating others with dignity. One of the churchmen told me "We are all one big family, one way or another, we are all cousins to each other."
Due to the warm treatment of the congregants I received, my feeling of anxiety were replaced with a feeling of joy.
