Eataly L.A.

Facing Santa Monica Boulevard on the second and third floor, Eataly combines Italian styled markets with dining areas. The second floor is for desserts. The third floor above contains a full Italian market, which has a cured meats and fresh seafoods. The restaurant has more people in line than the already crowded area. We went there at 3 PM for lunch, and the line was too long. We went back for dinner two hours later. The restaurant food is exceptional. It is pricey, but not outrageously expensive. The pasta is fresh and the texture is superb. We were seated outside and the heater didn't work that well to keep us warm. The place is a bit disorganized. I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem the next time I visit. The place is very crowded, but that may be partly due to the place being new.
