DMV

The DMV is a monster. Some days are crowded some are not. If you have a-typical business, expect to add 1 hour to whatever the wait is that day. Besides that, my advice is don't arrive at 4 pm on a Friday, be polite and apologetic during every interaction. Seriously, just do it. Especially if your stuff gets complicated. As soon as you show attitude you are done. So stay polite and apologize for being such a bother - it doesn't matter that it's not your fault. Humility is the secret to success at the DMV. Finally, if you can, go to an office in the suburbs. Way less insane.
