I recently applied for a long stay visa here and they were extremely nice, helpful, welcoming and efficient. I was nervous going in because of the reviews, but it wasn't anything like I was expecting. I was really happy I got to work with Eleanor because she was delightful and very helpful and made the stressful process much less so.

We came in for a 9am appointment and the whole process took about 25 minutes. For short term visa applicants, make sure to bring your most recent 3 months bank statements. We only brought the 3 months not counting the month just passed. But the officers would give you an email address that take pdf versions of the missing document. Also remember to bring in 2 standard passport photos, although they still take a picture and fingerprint at this location. It is certainly distracting that the officers keep chatting with each other, but I guess this is the french style administration.
