When we entered Chico's, the saleslady told us everything in the store was 25% off. Great! I'm a member, so an additional 5% off made the slacks a reasonable price. When I went to purchase, they said that was not discounted, and the saleslady admitted it was an error. She just grinned. Then they asked me if I got my coupon in the mail. I told her it hadn't arrived. However, she didn't offer to give me the discount promised at the door, or one from a coupon. I didn't feel like arguing, so I left. I have found that the clothes at Chico's are not as good as they used to be. Too much polyester for hot summer clothes. And the staff seem to only help "well-dressed" women, even though I have spent a lot of money in the last couple years. The outlet store isn't much better. Not a pleasure to shop in either store. They should take a lesson from Nordstrom and Land's End, who value customers over a single sale.
