Chez Soul

The customer service excellent. The prices reasonable for a clean, well staffed restaurant. I have gone to a fast food fish place in Fairfield and they charge twice as much for an order of fish. They chef and staff at Chez soul made you feel welcome.

The service was good and our order came quickly. However, I would not order the Mac and Cheese again. I ordered Oxtails - they were okay my order was a little over cooked - my husband ordered the same and his looked more fresh. However our neighbor had the fried chicken and it looked very good - was beautifully presented - golden brown and good sized pieces. The green beans were okay and so were the greens. We,, also, ordered peach cobbler - it was okay - not really seasoned enough for me but okay. Now the German chocolate cake was good as was the 7up cake. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean so I would try them again. Maybe when I go back I will try their sweet potato pie - they were out. Didn’t order the yams but they looked good. I’d like to add the the presentation of the food was nice on larger orders. I would try them again - may have been an off day today and we were there when they first opened - that may have made a difference.
