Canyon Market

This is a local little market near Glen Park BART that provides me with just about all of my weekly groceries at this point. Six months ago I moved to the Glen Park BART area from the Civic Center area. At first I was disappointed because I was used to the Whole Foods on Market and Rainbow Grocery. So I kept going back to my former neighborhood for groceries. Then Whole Foods was bought by Amazon and now they are always out of half the items I used to get there. I am gluten free and vegetarian, so I can only get specific vegetarian fake meat products (i.e. Tofu Pups, Beyond Meat, Beyond Burgers). My favorite gluten free Yves veggie burgers are no longer carried by Whole Foods (or they are perpetually out of them), and the produce is constantly torn apart by packs of wild animals to decimated sad piles, so now I have no reason to make the trek up there. At first I could not get all my vegetarian meats at Canyon Market, but suddenly they are getting a lot more of these types of things. So now I can get just about everything here and supplement with a monthly trip to Rainbow for bulk items.
