I bounce around to different shops for my annual AAA free diagnostic printout. People scoff, but this practice has saved me from dishonest recommendations, and reinforced the honest ones. This is the second time (2016) that I've gone to Brian's for this test. This time, he saved me from a shop that needlessly recommended brakes (they are still at 5 & 6mm a year later.) Brian's also reinforced a different shop's recommendation for gaskets and other maintenance. My battery tested low, since I don't drive far. Instead of recommending a new battery, Brian charged it up and suggested I take more long trips (Heaven help the other drivers!) The shop was extremely busy, but appeared to be organized and professional. Candace, at the front desk, was a whirlwind of friendly efficiency. I've been seeking a shop where the owner is the sole mechanic, in hopes that there will be no more "Ooops, sorry, it must've been the (former) new guy" mistakes. Oil change to overhaul, one expert does it all, if there is such a thing anymore. Otherwise, I will start taking my car to Brian. He works in the shop alongside his mechanics. Clean, efficient, friendly, and nothing but smiling customers in the 2 hours I waited, observing the flow.
