Big Bear is a fun, but often very crowded resort. It is best to come here if you are a snowboarder that wants to do terrain parks. I would not recommend Bear for newer riders. Snow Summit next door is better for beginners. Parking is usually easier at Bear, but on crowded days you're definitely going to need to take a shuttle to get to the resort, which can be frustrating, especially with lines.
