Bear Camp is a good rest stop if you like to take off at night from the Piedra Blanca Trailhead. It’s about five miles in and at one of the bigger water crossings. Those worried about getting your feet wet should take time to look around before crossing. If you stay to your left and rock hop you won’t get a drop on you.
