I was referred to Bay View Law Group in April of 2011. I had just had a heart attack and needed spine surgery - then lost my job due to health issues so wanted to get the credit card debt out of the way. I guess I should have looked for reviews about this company - I never received any correspondence from them or heard from them again. I used all my savings to pay their fee and get the credit card debts settled. I wrote them a letter in Jan. of 2013 notifying them that I had to terminate their services immediately and asking them to stop the automatic withdrawals. from my account. I also followed up with phone calls but always got a busy signal no matter what time I tried to call. I went to my bank and asked them if there was anyway to stop the automatic withdrawals at my end but was informed that I needed to contact Bay View. The letter was returned to me with address unknown about a month later so I wrote a second letter to them immediately and found another address in their paperwork so used it. I have not received any acknowledgement from Bay View of my termination of services. I also kept trying to call the only number I had for them but still got the busy signal. My bank also tried to fax them a copy of my letter but the fax never went through. I would like an acknowledgement from them of termination of services and the Feb. payment that they withdrew from my account returned to me, They took the money after I had informed them of termination of services and I only receive Social Security that barely covers my living expenses and cannot pay for their services any longer. Is this law firm a SCAM? I do not know but I want everyone to read this review so they will be warned!
