The city built brand new offices a few years ago apparently just so 10 to 15 government employees can stand around and watch while only one is qualified to help the six people that are waiting to have their utilities turned on. After waiting well over an hour during the day in the middle of the week, I finally got my paperwork done and was told my electricity would be turned on before the end of business on Friday. That worked out perfect because I was planning on starting to clean the place Friday about 6, and returning Saturday morning with the Uhaul. The best surprise came when I showed up with the fridge and food to feed the movers Friday night, and of course the power was NOT on, and there is no after hours number readily available. So, I have spoiled food, and no power in my new house until Monday (I hope it is on Monday)
