I was at Mazda Bakersfield last week. If I could I wouldn’t gave them even 1 star for their sell service. I always loved Mazda. I went there for Mazda CX5. I have a car now, which the same condition even higher mileage Car Max selling for $9k in their site. So, I came to Mazda to see if they can give me at least $6k trade in. They start with $1700 for my car, what is very crazy low. I told them I’m not going to trade my car less than $6000. They started raised the price for my car. $2000, $3000, $4000… and the end they said ok, deal $6000. They gave me good deal offer for new car. Everything what I wanted. First guy, his name Mark, with who I started talking, was very nice. He answer all questions and was very helpful. But when he brought other guy (older one, I don’t remember his name), I think it was manager, he was more pushing. So, anyway he was giving me deal I like. I started looking for cars. I liked one, but it had more options I needed, and it was more expensive. I wanted basic car, which started with $24 k price. They didn’t have a red color car (I liked it so much) so asked them if they can bring it from other Mazda dealer. They said no problem. That moment another guy (I think he is higher position than others) started looking online cars they have. They already congratulated me with deal, and they were so happy. While I was waiting (by the way I spent there almost 3 hours), I started asking questions. People, ALWAYS ask questions before sign anything. I repeated all numbers, and they said yes. My last one was, “So, to be sure, I’m getting care with basic options for $24k?” That head manager was, “ Yes, basic, but for $28k.” He started to tell me that it is so cool deal, and blab la bla… Basically, he tried to sell me basic car, which cost in Mazda official site $24k for $28k… It meant he was buying my car just for $2k.. I started shows him numbers, what made him very aggressive and mad. He told me, “You know, I cannot give you for your car $6k.” Why then you lie and told me let’s make a deal?? They made me feel like I’m stupid… I’m sure many people would accept it, and find out later, that they overpay. I was so disappointed. I spent so much time there. He was pushing so hard that it is such good deal, and it is so hard to sell car. Now, I have a buyer for my car, who ready to pay $6800. After that situation, I will never back to Mazda Bakersfield to buy a car. Even if I still decide to by Mazda I will go to LA or somewhere else. Worst sell service. How can you make your customers feel that we are stupid? So disrespectful.
