The Ashton Apartments

I have lived in apartments my entire life so I know what to generally deal with. I have only lived here a few months, (since November) and I like a few of the amenities such as the pools, the gym, the in-house washer & dryers and I like the size of my two bedroom apartment. However the LONG list of cons are impossible to over look any longer. Number one on the list: ROACHES! as I mentioned I have lived in apartments my entire life, however the only other time I had to deal with a pest problem was over 4 years ago, and it was the ant problem every year near summer time (no big deal). However at this place I have seen roaches in my apartment three too many times, I have reported it and yet nothing has been done. What kills me is that residents pay an extra pest control fee on top of rent, and yet they cannot eliminate roaches from their property. Other than that apartment management is rude, overbearing, and unhelpful. If you want to speak to the head manager, you pretty much have to jump through several hoops. Management seems to be able to come up with whatever new and ambiguous rules they want, which needs to be adhered to immediately, however when it comes to addressing resident issues, they can take as long as they'd like. The walls are paper thin, I can literally hear my neighbor snoring every night which is annoying to say the least, and I can hear everything in the downstairs apartment. They only assign one designated parking spot per apartment which seems ridiculous seeing as their are three bedroom apartments here. If looking for a place to live, I would look elsewhere.
