The location was in excellent proximity to Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center, and the interior appeared freshly renovated. At the same time, the Hotel suffered from issues related to staffing such as training, familiarity, responsiveness, and capacity to accommodate larger crowds. For example, the wait at their restaurant 'Nfusion was at one point an hour and when seated. Once seated our server changed three times and it took 30 minutes to get our check. Additionally, one staff stated "the silverware is over there" when I took some utensils off of another table because ours had none. A venture "over there" had no silverware and the other waiter just looked confused when I asked. I intentionally ate at the buffet because of how long it took for everything, but the meal was good. Room service skipped our room three times after repeated attempts to have the bedroom serviced both by calling the front desk and through the app. The elite member lounge offering snacks, etc closed early Saturday and Sunday, two days when the demand for its use was the highest which was just counterintuitive. Staff misinformed us through the Marriot app that our keycard must have been "demagnetized" when we couldn't enter the lounge on Saturday for a bottle of water; we later learned "it's always closed" by front desk staff who just appeared wide-eyed and confused when looking at the response we had on the app but did provide a bottle of water. Finally, the keyless elevator was a logistical nightmare, frequently stopping on redundant floors, not moving at all, going up when it displayed going down, etc. It became a running joke amongst conference goers that the "smart" elevator lack any necessary intelligence. Overall it was an ok stay but don't expect a simple, straightforward stay during high capacity times.
