Allied Rent A Car - LAX Branch

I don't understand all the bad reviews for this company. For me, they provided an incredibly cheap rental car and it was a pretty darn easy process. They had shuttle waiting in the lot that the bus dropped me off to and the shuttle took me right to the rental car location. Time from terminal to rental car location: 10 mins max. The driver was really nice and helped me with my bags, opened doors, was really pleasant, etc. When I got there, I was the second customer in line, they got to me in a reasonable amount of time. We looked over the car and did the normal rental car stuff and then I was on my way. The car was new and was in good condition. It ran fine. I was disappointed that the charging point did not charge my cell phone as that put in my pickle with my navigation but that wasn't their fault...it was Nissan's. The return was equally easy and quick and the same shuttle driver was friendly and good as before and dropped me right off at my terminal. The customer service from the folks behind the counter was adequate...nothing blew me away but everyone was nice enough and they did their job. I've rented plenty of cars before and I did not find this place to be any different than any other spot except that maybe the facility was a little grungy but who cares?!
